Margaret's communications and marketing department.
The manager will produce high-quality multimedia content in a variety of communications areas, including written news and feature stories, photography, video, social media content and other media to support marketing, communications, and/or institutional priorities.
Essential duties/responsibilities Create professionalquality content to support and market the school through a variety of platforms, including the school's website as well as email newsletters, print publications and social media channels.
Work with school departments and divisions to support and enhance communications and content needs, including announcements, editorial, important messages to the school community, marketing, photography and video needs.
Serve as managing editor for The Highlander, a biannual magazine which shares the latest news, features, photography and strategic priorities of the school.
Work closely with art director and other key stakeholders to produce, edit and distribute publication.
Research and write features and news stories for all school publications including The Highlander, This Week at SMES weekly email, school website content as well as marketing, public relations, advancement and admission initiatives.
Manage school multimedia needs to serve publications, archives and marketing purposes, including maintaining the school photography catalog.
Manage outside school photographers and videographers for special events, and serve as staff photographer and videographer for dayto-day school activities.
Work with rest of the communications team to strategize and manage school's social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Manage and keep current the school written stylebook.
Compensation:
$5,833 - 7,083/month.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
