We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating project costs, ensuring the successful completion of insurance, HOA, and commercial construction projects.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Utilizing Xactimate software to create precise and comprehensive project estimates.
Collaborating with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to develop detailed cost breakdowns.
Identifying potential cost-saving measures without compromising on quality and safety standards.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs to enhance estimation accuracy.
Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor bids to optimize project costs.
Assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals for insurance, HOA, and commercial projects.
Participating in project kick-off meetings and providing support to project teams throughout the construction process.
Communicating effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to address project-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator with a strong background in insurance, HOA, and commercial projects.
Proficiency in using Xactimate software for accurate and detailed project estimation.
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
Ability to interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and other project documentation.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.
Strong negotiation and communication abilities to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Previous experience in cost analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Knowledge of insurance industry practices and protocols (for insurance projects).
Familiarity with HOA requirements and approval processes (for HOA projects).
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is between $35 and $40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
