Medical Front Office Receptionist

A very busy/high volume specialty practice is in need of a front office receptionist to start immediately. This position offers 40 hours a week. Schedule is Mon-Friday. The candidate will work 9:
00am to 6:
00pm three days a week and 11:
00am to 8:
00pm two days a week.
We are seeking a very professional and presentable receptionist that has the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure for a growing practice. Must have strong customer service skills and a very high energetic/bubbly personality with a big smile! Candidate must be a strong team player and be willing to adjust as this practice continues to grow.
Candidate must be responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, processing a variety of paperwork, processing check in/check out, collecting co-pays and payments; and performing other various front office duties in a fast paced, customer-oriented, clinical environment. Provides direct support to the physician and other medical staff in patient care.
Collects payments for all services, writes out receipts and balances cash drawer daily according to the cash control policy.
Prepares all charge tickets for billing department.
Verify insurance and eligibility as needed. Obtain authorizations from Monarch healthcare and MHAP. Monarch and a strong insurance background is required.
Knowledge of contracted insurance plans and procedures; knows which plans require referrals and/or prior authorizations
Handles multiple telephone lines
Process receipts for all co-pays
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance protocols and CPT/ICD-9 coding
Task oriented and can work in a fast paced environment.
Able to multi-task.
Demonstrates knowledge of contracted insurance plans and procedures; knows which plans require referrals and/or prior authorizations
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and clinic staff.
Oustanding telephone skills.
Customer Service Oriented
2-3 years of Paid Experience
This is a great opportunity. Hourly pay is $14-16.50 plus an hr DOE and the need is immediate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
