Commercial Insurance Underwriting Assistant

We are looking for an Underwriting Assistant for our Professional Liability Department.
Essential Duties of the Underwriting Assistant:
o Assist with new and renewal business
o Responsible for maintaining renewal book of business
o Issue binders, Invoices, premium finance agreements
o Distribute policies to insured/agents
o Complete Surplus Line Forms / update and maintain logs
o Responsible for set up and organizing department files
o Assist with selling and growth of overall book
Qualifications, knowledge and skills required:
o Must have a minimum of 3-5 years P&C insurance experience
o Must have a P&C License
o Strong oral and written communication skills a must
o Excellent Customer Service and interpersonal skills
o Proficient in MS-Office (incl. Word, Excel, Outlook)
o Excellent typing and internet browsing skills
o Individual must be well organized and self motivated

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
