Certified/Intern Chemical Dependency Position Available for Counselor and Case Manager!!

Candidate would be responsible for obtaining pre-assessment clinical information to determine appropriateness for those seeking substance abuse treatment. In addition, candidate will be responsible for completing pre-certifications for client insurance authorization. Candidate needs to be articulate in clinical vocabulary with knowledge of medications and DSM V criteria. Ability to type a must. Great for the entry level or experienced counselor.

1. Minimum Qualifications - Associate's Degree or Completion of Certification from an NCCA- accredited college or vocational school in Human Services, Counseling, or related field. Registered as an AOD intern by State-approved NCCA accredited organization to register and certify AOD Counselors. Must be state certified within one (1) year of hire.
2. Preferred Qualifications - Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in the Human Services or Behavioral health field plus experience in co-occurring disorders treatment.
3. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with subordinate staff, supervisors, utilization review, managed health care clinicians, medical and mental health professionals.
4. Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with clients and their families.
5. Possess valid License, Certification, or Registration. (Interns are acceptable)
6. Possess current First Aid and CPR certification.
7. Current T.B. Clearance.

1. Uphold and enforce the agency's standards, policies and procedures, client rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct.
2. Demonstrate knowledge of TAP21 Counselor Competencies.
3. Conduct admissions eligibility screening including presenting problem, critical needs of client, and determine if agency is appropriate to meet the individual needs of client if required.
4. Ability to utilize agency comprehensive assessment tools (biopsychosocial, ASI, or ASAM-PPC2 Patient Level of Care Placement Criteria).
5. Identify and prioritize individual needs and problems.
6. Participate in treatment team meetings with other team members as needed.
7. Participate in the agency's Orientation training, staff meetings, and in-service training.
8. Participate in the agency's Quality Management system.
9. Provide accurate assessment and referral when appropriate.
10. Adhere to code of ethics, legal aspects of clinical practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures, and exercise professionalism at all times.
11. Exercise awareness in cultural competency, client satisfaction, quality of services, client needs, and overall health and safety staff and clients.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
