Marketing Communications Specialist

You will be responsible for amplifying Outdoor Retailer's voice. Our customers are our retailers and our brands, so as the team's Marketing Communications Specialist, you'll be working with the marketing, sales, public relations and retail relations teams to understand our customers, their behavior and potential areas for growth. You'll concept and create print and digital products and assist with events and education to engage our audience, garner loyalty and increase attendance.

Your Responsibilities
Work with Outdoor Retailer's cross-functional teams (including, but not limited to marketing, sales, retail relations and IT) to understand needs and help build effective sales campaigns
Coordinate the marketing activities of the sales team
Execute day-to-day email operations for the sales team including project scheduling, production, deployment, and post-analysis of all email communication
Assist in the creation of marketing assets including print ads, web banners, social media assets, brochures, mailers and postcards
Manage each assigned project including setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities
Track activity of other trade events by keeping abreast of market changes and the marketing mix of the outdoor industry
Assist with sourcing images and art work
Assist with copywriting and editing
Continually analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization
Assist with website management and web-based tools
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field
1-3 years' experience in marketing
Demonstrated knowledge of HTML (creation and adaptation)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent presentation skills. You're comfortable using data and design to bring up new opportunities and best practices to your teammates to improve the way we operate and grow
Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, be decisive, great attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools, including Salesforce and Pardot preferred but not required
Retail experience a plus
Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver)
WordPress knowledge a plus
Outdoor and snow industry knowledge
The Icing on the Cake (gluten and sugar free, if needed)
Travel, including to all Outdoor Retailer shows

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
