Tax Manager





The Tax Manager reports to the Senior Tax Manager.  A SeniorTax Accountant and a Tax Accountant will report to the Tax Manager. As a member of the Income Tax Team, the Tax Manager is responsible for various domestic and international tax matters including but not limited to tax accounting and reporting under ASC740, intercompany pricing, shared services, foreign tax credits, and international tax compliance. In execution the responsibilities required of this position, the Tax Manager interacts with a variety of accounting and finance personnel throughout the Company as well as with outside consultants.


Position Responsibilities

Participate in the preparation of quarterly and year-end tax accounting requirements in compliance with ASC740 by: (25%)

  • Preparation of quarterly and year-end ASC 740 workpapers including but not limited to forecast of all applicable permanent differences;

  • Preparation of year to date actual permanent and temporary differences and underlying ASC740 tax provision workbook;

  • Compliance with quarterly and year-end Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements.

Preparation and/or review of tax compliance activities by: (25%)

  • Preparation and/or review of all required yearly international filing requirements including but not limited to Forms 1120F, 8865, 5471, 5472, 8858, and 1042;

  • Management of Federal and state income tax audits;

  • Assistance with review of state income tax returns; and

  • Monitoring and compliance with all W-8BEN requirements.

Preparation of quarterly and year-end shared services billings by: (25%)

  • Determination of all applicable employees providing services to the parent company and affiliates;

  • Obtaining and analyzing all applicable costs required to be cross-charged;

  • Analysis of stock compensation costs; and

  • Communication of the billing amount to the accounting group and affiliates.

Management and coordination of various international tax matters by: (25%)

  • Providing required support to outside consultants preparing annual transfer pricing reports;

  • Preparation and analysis of U.S. foreign tax credit workpapers including determination of overall foreign loss; and

  • Preparation and analysis of U.S. and Canada country by country reporting requirements.

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • In depth knowledge of ASC 740 requirements

  • Excellent personal computer skills €“ Excel, Word, PowerPoint, must be familiar with tax preparation software and tax research engines

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • Strong cross-functional and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong business and technical writing skills

  • Ability to research or direct staff to research complex tax issues and provide reasonable basis for tax positions

  • Broad technical knowledge of corporate taxation

  • Direct technical knowledge of international tax issues including but not limited to foreign tax credits and transfer pricing

  • Strong verbal and presentation skills

  • Problem solver and strong decision making ability

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines

  • Self-starter and highly motivated




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Masters in Taxation strongly desired

  • CPA

  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience including 3 to 5 years Big 4 experience

  • Experience should include 3+ years of applicable leadership/management experience

  • Strong research and tax compliance skills: OneSource, Checkpoint, BNA

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
